'Social & Security' is new for Manchester and available to try for FREE during September!!!
So what is it about?
The Birch Community Centre in Rusholme working in partnership with
Healthy Me Healthy Communities are launching ‘Social & Security’ – a new
and exciting hand-made community café and social-space aimed at improving
health and wellbeing. It is for the over-50's but open to everyone to enjoy. It will include community activities including a craft
club, baking for good mood workshops, art displays, film club and training for
community organising enabling people to share ideas and work together.
All the activities will contribute to and help to make this a vibrant
and exciting community-space for Manchester. Initially ‘Social & Security’
will provide a weekly Friday afternoon session and bi-monthly Sunday session
incorporating the Rusholme Film Club.
There will be no charge during September, so come along and try Social
& Security for free.
‘Social and Security’ starts on Friday 5th
September 12.30-3.30 and Sunday 7th September (3-8pm). For more
