Heritage Lottery Success

We are chuffed to announce success in securing a Heritage Lottery grant of £30,300 for a new project in Rusholme.

Rusholme: What’s the Story?
Heritage Lottery Fund grant to unlock the stories of Rusholme

Rusholme is an area of historical and cultural significance with unique Victorian heritage, TV and music production-past and the bright lights of the famous ‘Curry Mile’.  The project will capture Rusholme’s diverse cultural history from the 1950's to the present day, celebrating the unique stories and voices of the people that make the spirit of the area: tracing the arrival of new communities, famous residents, festivals and stories. Through a programme of community activities, training opportunities and oral histories, a new community archives will be created by the people of Rusholme including a story book and digital collections.

More to come soon and get in touch for more information.
