Enterprising Communities

Healthy Me Healthy Communities is delighted to have been successful in securing an ESF Community Learning Grant administered by WEA (North West Region). The funding is for ‘Together We-Can’: a package of social-enterprise and food work training for adults (19+) taking steps to employment or further training.

·         ‘Starting Point’ covers the basics for exploring and starting a social-venture based on the innovative work of Nesta  and UnLtd ‘Rooted’.

·         ‘Crafterprise’ is for crafty-people helping to turn their talents into small businesses.

·         For the food-minded we have a train the trainer course dedicated to delivering safe and healthy food workshops alongside the RSPH Food Safety certificate.

All these free, exciting and new programmes include practical sessions, group workshops and celebration events. They will be delivered at community venues in Rusholme, Gorton, Beswick, Clayton and Newton Heath and most will have free crèche facilities. The courses will start in September and dates will be available soon.
