Welcome to
the new Festival of Ideas Rusholme. The 2014 festival edition focuses upon
mapping ideas from local people for creating the new Rusholme Story.
In this first year of the festival we
present a series of events at key locations that connect the new Rusholme Story
together, some of these stories take place in the Rusholme neighbourhoods and
others make connections to other parts of the City of Manchester. We present a
number of firsts for Rusholme including new film screenings, discussions,
workshops and an opportunity to connect to the ‘Imagine Rusholme’ work where we
explore ideas and thinking about the local area, about this place we call
‘home’.
So
come along and explore Rusholme “a name conveying very different ideas to many
people” (People’s Institute, 1894)
